హెర్బర్ట్ స్పెన్సర్ (27 ఏప్రిల్ 1820 – 8 డిసెంబర్ 1903) ప్రముఖ ఇంగ్లీషు తత్త్వవేత్త. He is best known for coining the phrase "survival of the fittest".
